Raced with Modena F360 and..

OK it wasnt an official race but what happend is that he saw me passing by him and he kept revving .. and i thought why not .. let me try and see the diffrence ... acctually the weather was Damn hot almost 40 celcius but i was forced to switch off the A/C to gain all the power from my car ... the race started from a round about to a bit of a long ... i was beside him on the round about in gear one and rpm almost from 4500-5000 (car Screaming) after the round about he stepped on it before me and i did ... my car jump and came beside him .. second gear he did not move a bit third gear till 160-170km/h beside him .. then he passes verryyy slow but the road ended we were forced to stop. stopped by the road side had a little chat and the guy offered to buy my car, he took my phone number ....... he was friendly ... good to see people like him

one thing forgot to mention his car has an F1 Gear Yummy Red Ferrari !

Having driven your car yesterday, thumbs up for tiptronic.. Am not really a fan of tip but i did realize it's not an regular auto after all even though you have it on D setting.. I'll call it a smart-auto. ..And next time you're racing with a modena how about you give me a call, am a few minutes away! waz

does that mean we are about the same as a F355?

maybe from 0-200 km/h but not after that ... i heard from a guy who owns a F355 and a F550 maranello ... he told me that he is able to stick up with the Modena (F1 Tansmission) ... but after all i think it depends on the weather. maybe at night the ferrari might blow me .. 40 celcius really makes the car very slow and you can notice that.

hmmm that's interesting. I had a friend with an M5 and he said he can keep up 1-2 car lengths with f355 up to 120mph. And if a 996 is about the same as a M5 stock vs. stock ,then we should be about the same?

it all depends about the driver honestly. today i was driving on highway 287 with minimum traffic and i was going about 65-70 mph and i saw a new 575 maranello coming behind me, we looked at each other mainted the same speed about 65 and went at it. he was always 1-3 car lengths behind me and we went up to speeds of around 135 mph. it was a race for about 4 miles and i was always leading, guess you never know till you go at it.

575 Smokes the new AMG 55's (the 473HP ones) and 55's ..... even with a Super charge u cant Stick with them ...... i tired my stock C4 with my friend's SL55 (500hp) .. and he passes not with the lenght of 4-5 cars .. but maybe 7 trucks size !!

You have a C4 Cab Tip, there should be a significant difference in acceleration between a C4 Cab Tip and a C2 Coupe shouldn't there be? I wouldn't think 7 truck sizes is accounted for by this acceleration difference, but I would think that a C2 Coupe or C4S coupe (both in manual) would have a different race than a C4 Cab Tip.

wouldn't a C2 coupe be faster than a C4s due to the added weight and 4wd system of a C4S? ---------------- 99 Silver 996

a C2 coupe is father than a C4S, however, when it really comes down to it, the driver always makes the difference over 300lbs and an inexperienced driver.

about the sl55's and 575 i dunno if you can say smoke, because from what i heard off the ferrari board, the last gumball race in europe they had an SL55 with chip limiter removed on both 150 and 175mph limits, the sl55 pulled the F360 at 180mph! If it has this kinda speed above 175mph, how can it get smoked by anything on the freeway?
