Has anyone put the mesh on a non turbo nose? If so can you post pics? Also how difficult are they to install and where can I buy it? Thanks in advance.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

it seems like people have tried everything short of chicken wire to get the mesh look. do a search on mesh ... several people have done it and there are some DIY instructions as well. there is a guy at www.boxey.com or www.boxey.org that makes them for the Boxster but I dont know if he has them for the 996.
Just found this link Automobile Atlanta Aluminum Mesh Radiator Guards. They are for a Boxster. I'm not sure but isn't it the same front bumper as the 996 (99-01)?
WHY would you WANT to put mesh on a non turbo nose? lol! All the ..... "Ricers" .... in our area do that!! .... uh .... this coming from the guy who is thinking about putting N20 on his car ..... carry on ....
Main reason would be to keep from having to clean out leaves all the time. I get a lot of them expecially in the fall here in the Northeast. I kind of like the look but would have to go with Black since I have a red car. Silver would not look to cool!! I would like to see a red car with the black before buying? Anyone have a PIC? BTW Mitchell, what is N20??
Nitrous Oxide. (a.k.a "the juice")
