Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

What a great car. Miss her a little. I took this photo on the last day I owned her. Oh well...while I do miss her, my new toy is almost complete.

POST 2Original post

From the above picture, I think it's pretty clear that that 944-thing has never run. There isn't oil all over the bottom side.

Very observant. Waiting to hear if it makes noise this week. 2500# and 240 (or so)HP - sounds rightfully good to me. C.

POST 4Original post

That looks great Chad. Love those headers on your 944..

POST 5Original post

uhhh... again, why was it that you got rid of the 996? what a car! 944 is looking good...

Simply - I wanted a track-only car that I wouldn't care (as much) about if I wadded it up into a ball at the track. That 996 was way too nice to destroy at the track. C.

POST 8Original post

^^ Hey Dan I got your don't care if it gets wadded up right here...I'll give you a call when I get off work at 4...you going to be around?

POST 9Original post

Im not sure who you sold youre old ride to... but I swear I saw it doing donuts on an episode of Supercars Exposed... The wife deleted it from my DVR before I could verify... your 996 was bad ***!

Thank you. The 996 was sold to a gent living in Chicago. I believe he is on Rennlist every now and again. I hope he still has her and is taking good care of her. FWIW - the new toy should lap Talladega GP a few seconds faster than the 996 did. And...I did a 1:09 with it. For reference, a 996 GT3 owner lapped in 1:03. Happy days. C.

Just goes to show it's not only about horsepower. Weight is the big factor here!

POST 12Original post

I hate to say it, but you shouldn't have sold that car! It was gorgeous, is it just me or was your Glacier white "brighter" than Carrara white?

POST 13Original post

ditto..no sunroof on the 996?? but then again the 944 is a fun car
