Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, I'm not opening back the detector war, I know that V1 is the best - that's why I have one. BUT, I want a detector for my car in Europe where they are not "really" OK to have in the car so having a stealth remote unit is of a lot of interest for me. Does anyone have experience with the SR7? Thanks JM

POST 2Original post

I have sn SRX, which I think is a SR7+Laser jammer. I don't know about Europe, but I am very satisfied with its performance in California

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can you post pictures of the display inside the car and tell me a little about features? TIA JM

Easier just to give the link: http://www.escortradar.com/srx.htm If you need to see how it looks in the car, it's that little thing next to my son's right foot in the avatar.

Leon, Good looking interior! What is between your PCM and your climate control display? On my C4S I have the CD holders, but yours looks different. My installation person has suggested putting my SR7 there in a stealth installation. Do you find it distracting to have to look down to see the display whenever the alarm goes off? The escort site seems to suggest putting the display right above the steering wheel. Thanks!

POST 7Original post

That's the CD for the PCM. No, I sont find looking down distracting. The different alarms (X K Ka & Laser) have different tones, and different signal strengths have different frequencies, so I usually don't have to look down at all. I had considered installing the display on the "Batwing" area in front of the stick, but that involved cutting into it, so I opted for the "safer" option of putting it by my right knee. Also by the right knee, it is totally invisible to a person (cop) standing by the driver's window
