...especially in Sydney or Melbourne. If so, what are the Porsche /Independent dealerships like near you in terms of quality of servicing/repairs? I and my wife are thinking about emigrating to Oz in a few months from the UK and I REALLY want to take my '99 996 C4 with me. I have a feeling they're a LOT more expensive in Australia and once I'm earning Oz$, my purchasing power becomes significantly reduced. Thanks!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

European cars are very expensive in Australia. I got my 996 cab for $A 220,000 on the road. Chucksta
Chucksta, I read your post with amusement. Wait till you see what they cost in Singapore..... I am still surprised that they can find Porsche owners. A brand new C2 Tip Cab would be around S$500,000+ ( About US$300,000), minus tax and COE (Certificate Of Entitlement, basically a certificate to allow you to drive the car for 10 years) Don't ask about the GT2, that's around S$1,000,000 on the road. It's ludicrous. You'd think they'd revolt or something.... I know I would....
