Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

03/996/C4/Cab. Last night we had couple of hours of heavy rain and some thunder to boot. This morning I woke up and notice my windows were partially opened. Drivers lowered than passenger. Alarm light on. Car will not start. Can not open trunk lid Can not open Engine lid Opened the fuse box and pull-out fuse/connector per instructions and connected jumper cables there with ground on door. NOTHING Battery has at least 12-14 volts. Per volt meter on car. Alarm light is on, thus presume car is in disable mode. I have a small pool inside car and can not get windows up. Any suggestions? Thanks

POST 2Original post

The alarm control unit resides under the driver's seat. So if that has been saturated with water, your problems are there.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hopefully tomorrow it will be sunny and I get things drying up. Been raining today. That said, what would have caused the windows to come down and the system to go into that condition that I can't event raise the windows.
