Hello, new member and first post so hoping for some pointers! I have a '98 Carrera and when I press the button for the roof to go down everything seems to work but it gets stuck as the rear body cover that is supposed to open in order to hide everything will not release. I can just about see the catch in the middle that is supposed to open but it's not budging.. Any ideas?? I obviously can't change any hydraulic fluid or anything as I can't get the cover to open.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Could be mechanical, or something to do the one of the limit switches preventing movement. Another member is having a similar problem. You might find some pointers there... https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...-top-part.html
