Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well I got new rear tires today, everything seemed great, I was under the car last night figuring out the best approach to change the oil and the rear sway bar/anti roll bar was fine. Fast forward to today, I am under the car ready to change the oil and see a metal thing hanging off my rear end...I thought it was the end link, got closer...nope the bent part of the sway bar, completely snapped! Below are pictures. My question is, does this look stock? (I see three mounting points/making it adjustable so I kind of doubt it), secondly, this is my daily driver, is it safe to drive for a few days while I source a new bar? Obviously being extremely careful around bends.

POST 2Original post

Remove the entire bar and it will be ok. Depending on track, race type, tires, etc., sometimes the rear bar is removed just the front is maintained. And yes, if you have an adjustable bar on the rear it is not OEM.

POST 3Original post

Could be a GT3 bar. The drop link is not stock for sure. I would just remove the whole bar so the broken end won't catch onto something on the road accidentally wracking havoc near the engine.

POST 4Original post

You can remove it and all will be fine. Just drive normally.

POST 5Original post

i believe I have a stock rear bar. Yours is aftermarket. You can have mine for free if you're looking for a stock one. Just pay shipping.
