my '04 C4S bought about a year ago came with carpet that looks like someone's cat drug it up. wondering if anyone has tackled this as a DIY project? the aftermarket places seem to only have kits for older 911s.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Good question. You are correct that most places that sell the kits are for older cars. You might be stuck with a upholstery place or have you called Suncoast? Just because they don't advertise doesn't mean they don't have it.
what color interior do you have? if it's black, contact 996flt6 on gt3 board. he is taking out most of the interior off his gt3, and some may fit your car. it's MUCH cheaper than any aftermkt piece you can get.
Now THAT is a great idea!
i threw most of my int away 2 months ago. and sold some of it cheap. there are always some nuts gutting their cars.
