Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/4454649254.html Would be curious to see how this drives!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know... I think it is actually a stock 3.6l with this kit: http://www.t-t-p.de/english/996.php

POST 5Original post

Curious, how does one go about reinforcing/strengthening a tiptronic tranny to work with this setup as suggested by TTP?

POST 6Original post

stock turbo engine which is bulletproof would not require the upgraded IMS bearing which is stated as being done in the description.

POST 7Original post

It appears to not be a turbo engine but a 3.6 standard with an aftermarket turbo kit..

POST 8Original post

Doesn't it state the fact outright that it is not a crate turbo, but a new crate engine that was modified with a kit? "Only 6k miles on new out of the crate, upgraded 3.6 L engine with TTP twin turbo kit, 465 HP and 430 ftlb of torque" Not sure there should be confusion here... heck, who needs a photo of the engine when you have the Car Fox!

POST 9Original post

Here is a picture of the engine from the car in the ad. No affiliation, I just asked for a pic.

POST 10Original post

It's not a 996tt engine. No dip stick on the tt and oil filler cap is on the wrong side.

It's been already established that this is a NA m96 crate motor that's been turbocharged with a TTP kit.

so a grenade motor just don't know when the spoon was let go or how long the timer is set at. picture is worth a 1000 words, as they say.

In this case a little over a dozen words is all that was needed. "Only 6k miles on new out of the crate, upgraded 3.6 L engine with TTP twin turbo kit "
