Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Went for a blast around Tokyo and noticed the temperature rising a little. Pulled over saw the leak, bottom left of the engine at the rear. Could see it weeping out from behind the water pump pully and down along the bottom outlet of the water pump losing about 1 liter in 30 minutes of driving. Unfortunately in tokyo I have no means for this DIY job. Dropped it off yesterday at my local guy with instructions. I'm cool with the pump being replaced what I'm not cool with is I have a road trip planned with the wife down south for 4 days so now I'm paying for a rental car for the drive. It's not the money it's the fact the only rental car left for rent in Tokyo is a Toyota Mark X...

Did you notice any water pump noise or squeal at all ?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No chance of the bike. Road trip also involves our small dog. No noise at all. Just a small leak that got large over a two day( 2 hour driving) period. I'll let you all know how the Toyota works out :-(

POST 6Original post

Welcome to the coolant leakage club. OEM pump should be ~$450-ish

POST 7Original post
