Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Where can I / should I send my shocks (front and rear) to be rebuilt and roughly how much will it cost? I have an OEM GT3 suspension and after riding in multiple GT3s and C2s with the GT3 suspension, I have deduced my shocks are not anything like they should be performing. This is really frustrating for me, and knowing what my car should have been performing like for so long. Thanks -Dan

POST 2Original post

Dan, you say "GT3 Suspension". Do you mean that you've changed ALL parts to GT3 or just the shock/Springs/Sways? The GT3 has a little different suspension geometry than the C2, which is why I'm asking.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Correct. Spring, shocks, and sways. I have not change the hubs or any of the subframe bushings. Geometry aside, the difference between my car and another C2 with the exact same setup (gt3 coilovers and bars and same bar stiffness) is absolutely night and day. This is noticeable over bumps mostly, in braking and transitions.

POST 4Original post

Hey, Dan. Ahmet is selling a GT3 suspension package - check it out on the Cary/Apex thread. As he stated, "it's cheap, and it's local". It may be the equipment you need to make your suspension perform the way you want. Bob

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Bob, I saw his, but I would rather rebuild mine than throw on another used set and risk the same issues. After riding in Ahmet's car and other GT3s I realized my suspension issues were not just an inadequacy of the GT3 suspension, but specifically my shocks. I'll be at VIR this weekend w/ Ahmet and the gang; then selling the car and going back to school. Cheers, -Dan
