Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am in the middle of installing the Dension Gateway 500 in my 2003 C4S with CDR23 and Bose. I read everything that was posted and proceeded cautiously. It seems like everything came together well but when I tried it out the radio lit up but there was no display or sound. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Frank

POST 2Original post

Did you program the computer to recognize it? I have attached a part of the installation manual.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I haven't had the car reprogrammed yet, I have an appointment next week. I understood that the dension might not work until that took place, but was surprised the rest of the radio isn't functioning. The upside is that it allows me to enjoy the sport exhaust a little more for now :-)

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When I picked the car up from the dealer they said it was programmed correctly but there wasn't any sound. In the end it turned out that I hadn't connected the fiber cables correctly. I called Eric from bumper plugs while the Porsche technician and I were under the dash and he was able to point us in the right direction. There is no way we would have sorted it out without his help. He was patient and incredibly helpful, can't say enough good things about him. No reason to buy the Dension anywhere else.
