Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a front lip to put on my 99 C2. Anyone got pics of their setup? I was hoping to find a lip without getting side skirts, but the ones I've seen tend to make the car look front heavy and basically need side skirts to even things out. I'd love to see what you guys are running Thanks

POST 2Original post

I have a gt3 front lip. I thinks it looks good without side skirts.

Here is my C2 with a EZ-Lip. Oh man, we just got another 2 feet of snow

POST 5Original post

Great thread! I am curious myself and have wondered what was available. I am looking myself but would be interested in something in carbon fiber.

POST 6Original post

Guy I bought my car from said this lip is by Techart (car came with a full aero kit)

POST 7Original post

Do u have any more pics of the gt3tek lip? Is that the type 2.

POST 8Original post

Indeed, great idea for a thread. I was looking at the same thing, as I believe a front lip could really positively affect the stability at high speed. I like the very simple EZ-Lip of DRT50!

The EZ-Lip is just for looks, I don't think it will have any, or just minimal affect the stability at high speed.

POST 10Original post

Here's mine. I think it's option 2. Easy install, great fit.

POST 11Original post

That looks like gt3 lip This is the aero 2 which is a bit more subtle http://www.gt3tek.com/products/99699-01.htm

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks for all the input so far, keep them coming...

POST 13Original post

Mine is type II like the green car in their ad. Another pic.

POST 14Original post

Thats the aero2 lip. In my opinion it is the perfect lip for the 996. I think the gt3 lip is a bit much. GT3 tek is probably your only option without getting a entire bumper. The techart lip that kromdom has is for 02 and up models.

I think if that was all you were going to do, I agree. But if you're going for the whole effect, the GT3 is a more aggressive.
