I Would like to know what the width of a mk2's roof compartment is? I am trying to make an mk2 top assembly work on my mk1 an need to know if the tops compartment are the same size? Can I get a couple of replies to compare the measurements to my car from 2002-2004 owners cars please? I need the measurement from the rear opening above the whale tail- the edge of the opening when you retract the top - to the front opening just before the roll bar ejection beam. The openings measurements from front to back is what I am looking for. In the attached photo it's the white line between the arrows I need the measurement to. Please advise. The more replies the marry in this case so if there are already replies feel free to offer your measurements as well. Many thanks all!
