Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Got them in the mail and installed them today, and I like the way it cleans up the look of the headlight and tailight assemblies. No more yellow shadow from the unlit bulbs. For those with '02/'03 headlights, I suggest carefully following the owners manual headlight assembly removal and installation instructions, and be sure to leave hex wrench in place when you remove them--it makes re-installting them alot easier. Tailight install is a breeze.

POST 2Original post

I just turned in my 2001 BMW 300i and had silvervision bulbs in that car. I want to put the silvervision bulbs in my 996. I sent autolamps online a message and they said they weren't sure if the silvervision bulbs would work. I am assuming the bulbs you ordered were the PY21W SilverVision 12 volt 21 watt (per pair) for both the front and rear. Any information would be greatly appreciated. You and I have the same car it looks like based on your pic. I just picked mine up this week and love it! Thanks in advance.

You are correct on the bulbs, I got them here: http://www.autolamps-online.com/halogen/svpage.htm FYI--the owners manual has a page with all the bulb types, and a section on replacement.
