Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Car is perfect. Selling to buy another sedan. Will take $41K for it! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-...QQcmdZViewItem

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4863880

It is that! By far the most powerful car I've ever owned. The TQ makes it feel faster than anything.

POST 4Original post

crazy stealth power ride - good luck with the sale

POST 5Original post

Nice setup. PCar, Range, Mercedes. Good luck w/Sale!

POST 6Original post

I got behind one of those the other week in my lancer and he punched it (on my private race track in Mexico, of course). I was surprised when I could only slowly creep up on him. I knew they were quick but didn't know they were that quick. With regards to your auction: don't think your comment about it being a reserve auction will protect you as it won't. You're best off deleting the auction and relisting it. Good luck with the sale.

I owned an 03 E55. Can't question the 520 ft-lb of torque, even if the car weighs alot. Good luck with the sale, it's a nice car.

Yeah, it's put plenty of hurt on many cars. I also just parted it out. It was making 550HP at the crank and 600TQ. It's was scary fast, like it was going to leave the ground. I must admit though because of the suspension it would get scary. It's not dialed in like a P-car in that part.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4865023

Yeah I thought that before. It just kind of happened. It was like Ultimate SUV, Ultimate Family Rocket, Ultimate Sports car with a Cab top. Life is good! Russ

Thanks, For your help. I don't know what you have done to your lancer but I have raced many, from a dig and a slow roll, from there they were pretty quick. Once I would go into 3rd gear it was pretty much over. Those cars along with the Sti's are known to be quick but not fast. I do love them though, especialy the lancer. They look like japanesse warrior or something.

POST 11Original post

you better end the auction now or you are going to sell it for less than 40k!

POST 12Original post

Quotes source post: 4865959

With there being bids on it already, I'm not sure that he CAN end it this late. I see it "sold" for $35,100...it'll be interesting to hear how this goes down.

POST 13Original post

I love the color. My friend Eric has on in that color. Great car.

POST 14Original post

Quotes source post: 4866222

I think it's all a matter of ebay policy. As a legal matter, his "this is not a no-reserve auction," is probably sufficient to prevent anyone from claiming it ended in a binding contract to sell. Anyone bidding would have had actual notice that the bid was subject to a reserve. ebay, on the other hand, may have some pretty strict policies about reserves and withdrawals and the like, so they could impose some penalty if there's a bidder who thinks he's bought. Stand by.

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4866222

Here's how it's going go down. Someone is going to give me $41K for the car or I'm going to keep it. Negative feedback or not, the car is going no where for $35,100. You know what I mean?

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4867954

See, he understands what I mean. Now the question is do you?

POST 18Original post

Quotes source post: 4870972

Who are you talking to? Having purchased my last three cars (including my 996) off eBay from great sellers, I'm not sure how I feel about how nonchalant you are about your mistake. How do you "forget" to put a reserve on a $40k item?

POST 19Original post

If you sell for $35k or not, I believe the 3% e-bay fee is due anyhow ($1k) as you've closed a transaction on e-bay.

POST 20 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4872166

The Ebay fee on selling cars is not the same as other items. There is a $40 insertion fee and If the items sells, which mine did under the basis that it showed as a no reserve aution. There is a final value fee or $50 dollars. So it cost $90 for me to keep it. Much better deal than $1K.

POST 21Original post

Quotes source post: 4872672

Would have been more if you'd listed it with a proper reserve. No idea how much off the top of my head...

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4872157

I also have purchased many cars off ebay. About me forgetting to put in the reserve, that was a bone headed mistake on my part. Now with that being said, because I made a mistake, it does not make me want to be a complete idiot and sell my car for $35,100. Can you understand that?

POST 23Original post

Quotes source post: 4875160

I don't think anyone was suggesting you should sell cheap. Most of us were just trying to help you avoid selling by mistake. We were discussing whether your listing would accidentally create a sale when you didn't intend one. It was my opinion that it would not , because of your disclaimer, but that ebay might see it differently and take ebay administrative steps against you (bad feedback, imposing fees, etc.). I hope that doesn't happen, and I hope you get the $$ you're looking for in the end.

POST 24 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here's a new link to the car. Me and the the high bidder worked out the fact that it was suppose to be a reserve auction. He said he saw the added notes the next day. It did cost me another $50 for a final value because in Ebay's eyes the car was sold. Thanks to all who tried to help with my issue. I hope this resolves all the questions eveyone had about thee outcome. Now here's a new link to the car with pictures that can be blown up to see more detail. This auction also has a RESERVE!: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-...QQcmdZViewItem

POST 28 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If anyone is serious about the car make an offer. I have seen these on Eaby with more miles, No Keyless Go, No Pano Roof, No Dynamic Seats bring $36-37K. All resonable offers will be considered. Thanks, Russ

POST 32Original post

I've been looking harder & harder at E55s in the past few weeks. If I didn't have 2 cars clogging up the garage we'd be talking. I'm surprised it's still for sale.

POST 33Original post

996s aren't the only cars depreciating fast.

POST 34 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 5066587

Let's do it. You can easily park one of those other 2 out of the way. You will not regret it. The E55 is one of the most powerful cars I've ever owned. The TQ of 516 PD's is hard to beat with almost anything. Russ

POST 35 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 5066742

Well yes and no. The good thing is about buying one like this is most all the fast depreciation is over. Also I bought my 01 C2 about a year ago and could probally sell it for what I paid for it. That's why I like to buy classic cars that have already taken the major depreciation.

Me TOO!

POST 37 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

$37K anyone? Car is priced right with miles, options and condition. Someone needs to pick this up.

POST 38 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the props!

POST 41 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

PRICE DROP $35,500 FIRM! This is the lowest price full options and low mileage E55 you'll find anywhere in this condition. Someone needs to pick this thing up! Dirt Cheap and runs a 4.2 0-60 and a 12.3 Quater mile bone stock!

POST 42Original post

Maybe try to contact the high bidder and see if he is still interested in the car? Your asking price is really close to the auction ending price. Good luck on sale.

POST 43 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 5093946

Good Point! I may do that.

POST 44Original post

$35,500. You could by this beast or a Jeep Grand Cherokee, so someone buy this.
