Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone have a rattle coming from the sun roof area? If yes, have you fixed it? It's really bugging me... JM

POST 2Original post

Yes I have it on my '03. It sounds like it's about 6 inches behind the back of the sunroof above the roofliner. My back window is also making a "creaking" noise which sounds a lot different.

POST 3Original post

This is something that can and should be fixed; it's not fun living with.

POST 4Original post

I do have the same problem on my 01' too... It's really annoying !!!

POST 5Original post

There is a TSB on this. Ask your dealer to perform TSB "5/01 6028 Noises from the New Style Sunroof Frame"

POST 6Original post

Wouldn't it seem prudent that the dealers would do all these TSB's before delivering the car?!?! Therefore proactively curing the problem before having the customer get annoyed, leave the car at the dealer, and possibly losing a repeat customer? If Porsche was smart they would be directing dealers to try and fix these issues before delivery when reasonable.

POST 7Original post

Not all fixes are mandatory. In some cases, some cars don't exhibit the problem.

POST 9Original post

I realize they're not like a recall but you would think a short test drive as part of delivery prep would expose many problems and you could have them fixed instead of letting a brand new customer leave with a car that you know has issues and is bound to return. Sqeeks and rattles are pretty easy to detect.

POST 10Original post

I have a similar noise. I don't find this TSB on AlldataDIY. Is it possible to point out a source for this one or something? Thanks, Bill

POST 11Original post

Bill, I have an AllData subscription too... but sometimes they are a little behind. If you want the TSB email me (your email address) privately and I will send you the TSB via email.
