Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know of any web pages that provide various hacks for the 996? I have found a few web pages for Boxster hacks; are they applicable to the 996, or is the Boxster's setup different?

POST 2Original post

Many are the same, but some are different. What do you want to do?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm looking to do the following hacks: 1. Removing the necessity of having the parking brake engaged for cabrio top operation. 2. Footwell lighting. From a previous message, I was given this Boxster footwell lighting hack, but does it apply to the 996: http://www.boxsey.com/projects/footwell_light/index.html

POST 4Original post

I recall seeing a thread on this, either here or funcars. Did you try a search?

Don, is correct I helped a guy do this with some wiring changes. I think his handle is Orient Express. If you can't find it or him then I will look through my old emails. 2. Yes, very similar for a Cab. The A-pillars come apart very similarly. If you need detailed A-pillar instructions then post your MY and model.
