I purchased a used 996, 1999 and the first inservice date by the original owner is 9-27-99. The car now has 36,000 and i was wondering do i have any warranty left? Either way a fantastic car just drove it today since it has been trapped in the garage due to the weather since October.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Congrats on the car. Porsche warranty is 4 years/48,000 miles so you have another 6 months and 12k miles left.
call a porsche dealer and give him the vin number, he can print out service records, as well as how much warranty is left and any extended warranties if there are any.
Doesn't the warranty period start from the build date not the first service date?
Warranty starts from date car first placed in service.(ie first registered)
As it applies to cars sold in the US: THE BUMPER-TO-BUMPER New Car Limited Warranty provides coverage for four years or 50,000 miles (whichever comes first). During the same period, the Porsche owner receives the benefits of the Porsche 24-Hour Roadside Assistance Program, which provides in addition to emergency road services and towing reimbursement for trip interruption expenses. Porsches corrosion limited warranty is the most aggressive among sportscars: its coverage continues for a full decade regardless of mileage. <img src="http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/chart.gif" alt=" - " />
