I am planning on installing a fire extinguisher mount in my 996 for DE Events. I have noticed some mount them on the passenger side and some on the drivers side. Anyone that has done this----what side and what is the reasoning for the side you chose? thanks in advance

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

You should have it so that you can reach it if you are strapped in. It would also be nice for a corner worker or something be able to get to it.
I have the BK on the passenger side.
I have mine on the passenger side. Out of the way but reachable.
I have BK extginuisher mounted on passenger side. Much less intrusive that way. Installation pics on www.986host.com/gallery/doncapecod don't remember the page...sorry. I do recall that I had to tilt the passenger seat forward in order to tie in the BK mount under the seat to allow fore and aft movement.
