I am contemplating intalling a lift in my business warehouse and storing my 996 up on the lift. I know this sounds crazy, but I do not have a garage, but I do have a couple of large warehouses. I need the floor space for business, but I could store it up on a lift. I have a buddy who can hook me up with a nice quality lift from a liquidation. I know you all are thinking, just buy a house with a garage... I would, but I love where I live and want to stay put. Does anyone think there could be a problem storing the car for days or potentially weeks at a time on a lift? I would appreciate any comments! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

If the lift is a 4 post type with drive on ramps, then I see no problem as the car's suspension will be loaded in a normal fashion (apart from normal storage issues like tire flat spot, battery charge, etc). If it were a 2 post lift, I would be concerned about the suspension unloading and the long term impact on exposed strut shafts (seals, oxidation/rust, etc).
