Hello People, I am not sure if Ken still uses this forum, but iwas wondering if he could answer my question if he does.I have just modified my 03 sports exhaust system by carrying out the instructions that he provided in an earlier thread. The exhaust now works exactly as he said it would and i am very happy indeed, but my question is this.Has Ken suffered any affect at all by carrying out this mod? and also was this a Porsche factory mod or did someone work it out for themselves? The car now growls all the time, FANTASTIC. Thanks Ken. Regards, SIMON.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Simon I assume that you have modified the SE so that the resonance flaps are continuously open.My dealer recommended this to me and carried out the set up .I have had no trouble whatsoever and actually I believe that by leaving the flaps open you are simply reducing the backpressure that the exhaust system creates to "muffle" the car.I cannot imagine any negative consequences to this. cheers .It does sound just lovely doesn't it?
Simon, I agree with TVTH986S
Simon, The mod works perfectly and I have had no issues with it at all. I don't recall who posted the original idea for the mod, but a search for "sport exhaust" would turn it up. I do think it was a tip from a Porsche technician. I was just the one who posted some pictures to make it easier to find the appropriate jumper to remove. Cheers! Ken
