Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anybody know if one can attach an MP3 player or iPod to the CD-Changer connections? My '01 C2 came without a CD-changer but the cables are there and 2 of them certainly look like the audio jacks. So I'd imagine one would have to get the CDR-220 to recognise that there is a device attached and to be able to select it as a source. Any ideas, thanks?

POST 2Original post

You can buy and AUX cable from Becker USA that will allow you to connect your iPod or iPhone.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Dennis, I contacted Becker, their cable (part# BAS-1319) has one end which connects to the CDR-220 and the other end has a 1/8" stereo jack to plug into the earphone socket. US$29.99 plus $25 postage (to Australia). Can anyone confirm if this one on Amazon for VW is the same: Amazon.com: 3.5mm AUX Input Jack Adapter Cable MP3 iPod for VW 8 Pin: MP3 Players & Accessories Amazon.com: 3.5mm AUX Input Jack Adapter Cable MP3 iPod for VW 8 Pin: MP3 Players & Accessories
