Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

the newest 2003 option list has the X51 powerkit option marked as "currently not available" for both the C2 and the C4S. what's up with that? TX

POST 2Original post

Won't be available until after the factory shut-down.

POST 3Original post

Good News (correction): I have a confirmed order for july build w/ x51 <img src="graemlins/jumper.gif" border="0" alt="[jumper]" /> Bad News: My understanding is that the X51 was limited to 200 cars and that all of the allocations have been taken - hence the restriction <img src="graemlins/cussing.gif" border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" /> <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

wow, ed major bummer if thats true. i'm planning to order a 2003 C4S, and really want the X51 to balance out the extra weight. hmmm, guess i'll have to just get the turbo!

POST 5Original post

If you want the 4wd and the extra weight, psm etc... the turbo is the onlyw ay to go! Unless you plan on mostly tracking the car and want something challenging to drive, turbo! <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" /> <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" /> <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" /> <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />

POST 6Original post

Ed, Do you have a *confirmed* July production date for a 2003 for U.S. delivery -- do you have an "estimated completion date" in July? TIA. Craig (L.A.)

It's the GT2!!!!! That's the track car for the US. TX 911, for the daily driver and occasional track use, the Turbo can't be beat by anything less than the GT2. Not even with the X51. If you have the dough, go for the Turbo or GT2.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

so...what do you guys think.... will the X51 be re-offered later this year?? i can see this same engine with the 345 hp being standard for 2004, ya know?

POST 9Original post

Dealer told me July 23rd. I am a little skeptical to be honest. They said based on their experiences with other similar items, won't be 100% until we get the code that it has been built. As for what is faster... depends on the track. Drivers being equal short tight course will lend itself to the C2, one with some straights... all TT. We won't know for sure until it gets here and I find someone who is a good TT driver to go play with! Keep in mind the GT3 has faster lap times than the TT on the Nurburgring! We've had some heated discussions on this one already and I don't think either side is willing to give in. Like I said, for tracking... C2, for cruising and general fun... TT!

POST 10Original post

See other new post on X51 and 03 Pricing Kit is NOT available, all 110 slots are filled.

POST 11Original post

Also spoke to the dealer today, the car shows an estimated completion date of June 27th!! Thats past already. Although he did say that they have seen cars held in Germany because they don't want them out too early. August is now a very relaistic delivery - will keep everyone posted.
