Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

2000 996 cab. I have a gap between convertible top and the top seal when the top is open,is there an adjustment I can do? I circled the gap in the picture. Thanks for the help.

Unfortunately I have my hard top on right now so I can't help you. After saying that, you could raise the top as far as inspection mode position (half way up) and reach in under the rear window each side and release the wire either side hten lift the top up a bit. That way you can see inside if there is an adjustment bolt or screw which might tighten up the wire length. If so do not tighten it so far as the top will never reach the front anchor points of the front windscreen area. When the top is up, is the top tight looking or is it slack. If slack then it may need that adjustment. Hey let me say that this is only a GUESS on my part but it may help. Again the gap you indicate looks pretty well uniform across the back and does it really need to be adjusted in the first place?
