Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

how long is the little courtesy light just in front of the interior and map lights supposed to stay on? i shut my door in the garage about 10 mins ago and it's still on...it's a very small light...just barely enough to illuminate the shifter...there is another light like this, that is on as well...it's the one in front of the driver's door handle....also the icons for the frunk and engine lid are lit...they are located on the lower door jamb....the switches you pull to access the frunk and engine compartment lid......thx

POST 2Original post

I saw a post on the exact time but I don't remember. What I can tell you is that if you lock the 911 those lights turn off relatively quickly. And the longer the 911 is locked, there are a few other battery eating systems that shut down as well.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yep...i locked it and it went off immediately....hell...it could have stayed on for days....it's been in the garage and unlocked and i haven't gone out to look at it closely in complete darkness...good thing i drive it every 2-4 days

POST 4Original post

Yes always best to lock the car everytime you leave it even in your own garage. It puts it into 'Sleep Mode' which takes a lot less from the battery.

POST 5Original post

They all.go off in under 20 minutes, and they are all amber LEDs so power consumption is very minimal.
