Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

http://www.bluestarmotors.com/index....wroom&carid=76 Tempted to buy this 996. What do you think of the color? Is the mileage to high? Does the aero kit add much value to the car? Price is similar to others in vancouver however they have lower milage but no aero kit or ruf wheels. Interested to hear what you guys and gals think.

POST 2Original post

Price seems really high to me. In fact, if you search the 996 forums you will see several discussions about purchasing a 99 for AROUND $30K...Personally, I don't like the color and aside from the wing and rims, there doesn't appear to be ANY other mods...Keep looking.

POST 3Original post

Personally, I think it looks great. Can't tell but it looks like Arena Red. My fav color by the way but I am not biased having an arena red 996 myself (last year you could get it was 2000). I get more compliments at the track on arena red than you can imagine. But like Kevin said, that price is WAY high for a 99C2 coupe. That car should be around high 30's. If you can get it for less than $40K then you got a good deal as long as a PPI checks out good.

POST 4Original post

Ditto the two previous comments. $46.6USD is WAY over priced for a 99 with 2 KM let alone 99300 KM. 99's are selling for the low 40's to low 30's and possibly even lower depending on condition. I would however give the car $2K for the Aero Kit and $2K for the Ruf wheels as an allowance.

POST 6Original post

The color is sweet looking! But as all of the previous guys have said, the price is way too high!

POST 7Original post

Also I noticed it had Sport Seats, Litronic lights, and Turbo bumper. Car looks very nice but not for $46K I would try and make a play at $38K and see what they say.

POST 11Original post

What are you using to define "a little" Kirby??? An abacus?

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well like I said they are all priced like this in vancouver canada. I search ebay and I know porsches are priced less in the USA. Thanks for the comments. Looks like more are in favour of the color than against. Was just wondering if the aero kit is viewed as to much "boy racer". Considering non aero kit 996s here are priced the same as this one it seems with the wheels it should be reasonable price. Guess the thing to do is have a mechanic check it over before making an offer.

POST 13Original post

The factory aero kit is a plus.......a big plus and not even close to boy racer. Most will say that the pre-facelift aero kit is the nicest aero kit Porsche has put forth. That taco wing is great. Functional and alot of style. If it would work with my CAB I would have it. Instead I have the rest of the aero mius the taco wing on my CAB.
