Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm thinking that I am missing something here. The plastic piece that holds the halogen bulb in doesn't seem to fit.... at all.

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I guess I'll try to elaborate, the 3 parts where the plastic is supposed to hold the light to the red/brown part of the headlight housing barely touch or don't touch it at all. I just cant see how these would be made like this but I am lost in trying to figure this out

POST 3Original post

Sounds to me like the bulb is not in correctly. Might try turning the bulb a little bit to see if it seats further into the socket, then install the holder.

POST 4Original post

The 3 tabs on the holder, one of them is different size. Has to be in the exact orientation. If thats what you mean. I wish they kept the clip like the .1 version

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Tomorrow I'll take some pictures but even when i rotate it around the plastic piece is too small and barely touches the mounting area. I even bought new ones with the hope that somehow mine had shrunk. But the new ones are the same size

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This doesn't seem to fit....

Ok, the smaller tab thats at the 10 oclock in your picture need to be at 6 clock! It appears smaller but if you get it line up it will fit.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The problem is that its like the plastic is too small. Doesn't matter how you rotate it.

That looks about right. Only the edge go into the position. I know it sounds weird but once you have it lined up it fits. If you haven't figured it out, I may have some time this weekend and I will snap some pictures of mine as I may try to install HID in mine.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If you can that would be great. This has to be the worst design ever.

Sorry I forgot about this thread and it got buried pages deep.
