Just picked up the QuickJack BL-5000-SLX on a Costco sale. My wife just noticed it and we picked it up right away since the sale ends today (3/29/19). I know it's late notice, but if you are interested in getting one, you might be able to save a few bucks if you act quickly.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

how much were they
https://www.costco.com/QuickJack-5%2...100460313.html Looks like $999
Lifft bars are around $250.

What are lift bars?
Search for the thread on them or Google. Type of jacking system.
http://liftbars.com/ Interesting! Downside is they only work on the Porsche specific model you get them for. Will not work on your other vehicles
I have been contemplating Quck Jacks vs Lif Bars for a while. $1000 would refresh my suspension. I could make lift bars for next to nothing. But the QJ is so cool...

I bought myself a welder for Christmas a couple of years ago and my first project was lift bars. I think I spent about $25.00 for the material.

Wow those turned out nice. Looks like 2x2 square tube. What wall thickness did you use?
Quotes source post: 15741909
Think about making these and selling them on the side? I'd be interested, as well as others I assume. I just dont have many reasons to buy a welder...unless others can give me a reason. Or maybe to start making custom versions for multiple cars and selling them.

This guy does that http://liftbars.com

True. Would rather buy from a member if they were wanting to make them on the side.
Thanks for the compliments and I'm flattered that anyone would think my attempt is worthy of doing it on the side and selling to Rennlisters. I had initially considered buying bars from the linked vendor but I couldn't find any info on their site about specific specs and they seemed expensive. I figured they must know what they're doing though because their website was apparently designed in the late '90s (and best viewed with Netscape Navigator) . @jandackson, Yes, it's 2"x2" with a wall thickness of 1/8". I assume this is what the Liftbars.com guys use because their site says they weigh 16lbs and mine weigh 17lbs. @ThatSalesGuy;15747458, As much as I would like a side source of income, I just don't have the time. Also, I think there would liability issues if one of my creations squished a customer under their car...
