Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Since I got my 99 C-2 last year, I have gone throught the usual modification affliction. Some of the mods include - Misha GT-2 spoiler, side skirts, Litronics, clear brake lights(all 3), skid plate, 30% window tint, SSK, Alpine/JL Audio, Subtle Leather seats, and a slew of Arctic Silver interior trim and steering wheel. Whew! Don't think I will do much more, since I will never recoup the cost of the upgrades should I ever decide to get a newer Porsche.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

These are 35mm slides that I scanned directly to my hard drive. I have not had a chance to do any exposure or cropping adjustments. Sorry for the dark exposure!

POST 4Original post

Nice! Pictures are kind of cool! Have you thought about switching out your front bumper to the MK1 GT3?

POST 5Original post

I like the Misha wing more and more. I swore I would never put a wing on my ride, but I might change my mind on it...... The OEM wings (all of them) are just so butt ugly. Whats the cost of the wing, and is it a DYI install?

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The Misha GT-2 wing retails at about $1400. Call Misha - he is a great guy and helped a lot. Prep & paint is another $500. I did my own install. Took a couple of hours. You need to get the wire harness that will bypass the OEM motorized spoiler.

POST 8Original post

Wow! Where to start. First off, the wing is a nice wing and looks fabulous on wide body cars but NOT on the narrow body cars (with one caveat: Kirby has done a great job on his narrow body). Especailly on your car it looks way out of place with those wheels and no front GT3 bumper. Besides the aesthetics you have really affected the downforce of the car and will probably find it is very unstable at and substantial speed. Porsche will NOT allow the install of the rear spoiler WITHOUT the front as well. You can do it yourself as you did, but not a good idea. But with all that said, if you just get the wheels done and get the PROPER front spoiler (priority #1) to increase the downforce in the front you will be set.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I guess to each his own. I love the look of the car and constantly get compliments wherever I go. As far as the front air dam/bumper, maybe an option some day. But it has"0" effect on the handling of my car under 100mph. And I rarely go over that mark.

POST 10Original post

I do agree with you on the "to each his own" which is what makes this board so great. Unique personlalities and individual cars! I hope my comments didn't come out as a knock on your ride. It wasn't intended to and I apologize if it came out that way. It is a beautiful car. I was just trying to explain the major mistake you make by doing the rear downforce mod BEFORE the front. I have to disagree with you (as will many) that there is ZERO effect on your handling. However, with that said, If you track your car you will be in serious handling trouble, but for just "bling" around town you will be fine.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No offense taken. I understand the aerodynamics debate and will probably get the front bumper sooner or later. Thanks for all the comments!

POST 12Original post

Great looking 996. I agree that a GT3 bumper would really set that car a part. Love my Misha wing. Here is a picture of it. https://rennlist.com/forums/attachme...chmentid=69643

POST 13Original post

Get a GT3 front bumper... or some sort of front spoiler... car seems back heavy...

POST 14Original post

Car looks great.................It needs to be lowered! You have done a great job thus far, you do know it never stops....right

POST 15Original post

Gregg cool pictures of a beautiful car enjoy it.

POST 18Original post

agree - get row m030 suspension and a front spoiler and it will be even more badass...

POST 19Original post

Thanks for the pics! just bought the same Misha wing and have an 02 seal gray with side skirts. Should look quite similar to yours. Can't wait.
