Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just picked up a top off CL for $50. I haven't picked up the car yet but thought I shouldn't pass it up. It's missing the glass. I'm comfortable bending acrylic and was wondering if there were any examples of tops with removable glass that didn't look awful? Thanks, Kevin @carterperformance

I'm not sure what you mean by "removable glass". I'm not sure $50 is a good deal for a hardtop with missing glass. The original has fixed glass with built-in defroster. I have a hard time imagining that a bent acrylic replacement would look good. Just my .02

POST 4Original post

For $50 bucks I'd say you scored. What's your worst case scenario? $50! I spend $35 on a freaking **** once!

POST 5Original post

Yea I had seen this top and thought it was a bargain at $50, untill I priced the rear glass !!. But if you can bend acrylic and make it look factory, I say a WIN !!

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
