In the spirit of the holidays, I'm giving away a set of 3.4L MK II "modded" mufflers. For those that have been around rennlist a while, yes, these are the same cans I got from Tim many moons ago -> for free [Thanks Tim! - kind of ironic that Tim shipped them to me, and about 2 years later he lives up the road...] So, now I'm passing them on. Whoever wants them pays the shipping and that's it. If you do some research, these are the second gen mod (MK II mod) with the elbow from the can to the "out pipe" (not the J pipe from inlet to outlet). It is louder than stock, but not crazy loud, or even PSE loud. Check it out here . These are not difficult to install, but on my MY00 996, I did have to swap the connector backing plate (number 28, the 3 bolts (16) didn't line up on the car). You just remove the bolts 24 and 25, swap out #28 and you're golden. Also, putting on the tips requires the screwdriver X, which is posted somewhere in detail. The first time, it takes about an hour a side. And a lot of cursing. After that, it's pretty quick. Tim's famous annotated muffler install diagram is posted below for reference Ho! Ho! Ho!
