My 1999 C2 has no "T/C" button, does that mean I don't have traction control, or that I have "perma-traction control"? I thought all 996's cam w/ T/C standard???? Also see my last post...what next?? RVP

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Traction control was an option, not standard equipment on 1999 C2s. You should have a button on the dash if your car has traction control.
Guess I dont have T/C. Do I need it? Daily driver, rain, even light snow....
No. Sports cars have been around a lot longer than TC. Take it easy in the snow.
If you drive in the snow or cold climate get snow/winter tires mounted on a separate set of rims. I drove all winter w/o TC with Dunlop winter sports no problems, just drive sensible.
