I was playing in the snow the other day - mostly to see what the PSM felt like. It made snow driving much less fun, but I can see "practical safety benefits"... Anyone have a story where the PSM saved you (or didn't)?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It works really well in snow if your ideal situation is to stay on the road. The constant braking really does slow you down. If I have open curving roads with no trees it goes off and I get my car tail happy! Very fun and easy on the tires when you have snow in the ground.
besides PSM, I stalled (ahem) today after deciding to get around a sleeping driver, and found the car limits the throttle to a piddling level for a few long seconds after a restart..... will it ever stop surprising?

I never have that problem.
I didn't have that happen, Dresler - but then, my car, since its a '99 doesn't cut the throttle when you step on the brake (like people say the the newer cars do). Perhaps what you're experiencing is that "feature".
