Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have always been in love with white 911's. Just something about them for me. Anyways, last year I bought a 2000 AS 996 and love it, but its lacking some of the options that I would like and while I could add them, I would just be adding them to a car that is not my 1st pick to begin with. I found this car, on the rennlist classifieds, then ebay, and then autotrader and wanted to get some peoples opinions here. To me from the pictures it looks very nice, but I have an extrememly untrained eye. If the all knowing guru's could take a look and let me know if anything jumps out to you as being wrong or weird I would appreciate a bit of feedback. Also if anyone knows the seller that would be great knowledge as well. Here is the link to the Ebay ad which has the most pictures. 2001 White C2 Cab Thanks in advance for all the help. Mike

Great color! If his Reserve is set well below the $41K as indicated sounds like a good price (mid to high $30s). Love the sport seats, litronics, and side skirts. Its just my opinion but I do not like those rear spoilers. I think that they are attached to the factory spoiler by double sided tape or adhesive..I would remove. The important question is what does this have, other than being a Cab., that your current car does not? Is it meeting your needs/wants?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

well the price in the classifieds here as well as autotrader list it at $39,500. The options I would really like are white ( of course) sport seats, three spoke steering wheel, aero kit ( which I don't love the rear wing either, but could live with it.) The only thing that this car doesn't have, which mine doesn't either and I was planning on upgrading anyways is supension. I was planning on installing the ROW M030 kit in the next month or so. So like I said, everything that this car has I could potentially add to my car, but 1) mine has higher miles than this. It runs great, but still higher 2) It would certainly be more expensive for me to add it to the car than just to buy it with. 3) this cars white..and I love white! So thats my thoughts.

POST 4Original post

Good car, But have you thought about an 02+, Just curious nothing wrong with the pre 02 996.If i were going from yours I would be looking for the facelift car. What are your thoughts on this?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

you know, I was thinking of that as well. I have had a very difficult time finding a white 2002+ car that was not close to 60k. And even fewer that actually have the aero kit and other options that I have been looking for. I would probably be willing to pay up to 50K+/- but I certainly would prefer less. I paid 38k for my car that I have now a bit over a year ago, so this would be almost the same money which is very appealing, especially to my new wife! With the car I linked to it has the options I am interested in and would cost me next to nothing, which is a price I like. overall if this is a good car, it may just get me into what I really want. My only concern is that I live in Seattle and am nervous about having a cab. I love the idea of having a cab, but this is my main car. I have another car that I drive during the bad winter days and if its real nasty out, but I love the porsche too much to let it sit in the garage. I've put about 9k miles on my car in the year I've had it. I would go buy a hardtop for it and I think that would help tremendously. My dad has a 2004 cab so I have been in it and with the hardtop it really is nice and enclosed. I would certainly be open to anyone who has a nice white 2002+ with the aero kit. and is less than 50k. Thanks Mike

POST 7Original post

White Cabs are hard to find, but look great and are worth the hunt. It took me several months to find mine. If this is what you want then it is the right car. I don't think that you will find an 02+ Cab with aero kit for under $50K unless it has HIGH mileage. Good luck!

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

well I just spoke to the owner on the phone, seemed like a nice enough guy, I'm going to set up a PPI and see how that looks. If everthing checks out, I may have a new car.

POST 9Original post

i think it looks good too - the sport seats are awesome, not a fan of the rear spoiler. I would argue a 2001 is a sweet spot... last year of the 3.4 engine and seemed to of got it right. FWIW, I would look at any year but 99 and 02.

POST 10Original post

It is very hard to find a white cab, North of the border , however in the sunny states lots of them to pick from.I think white is the perfect colour for that car..My 997 TT is ordered as white. Good luck with the PPI
