Anyone done a front wheel bearing replacement? Easy? Hard? Is the press a Porsche specific tool? Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have done it. You need a crazy torque wrench to remove the center from the hub. If you have a shop to farm out that work it's not bad. I have done it. Go on renntech and look for my post on it.
The tool is not really porsche specific, but it's a pia to do, most indep shops charge about 1-2hrs to do it, might be worth it in the long run.
Yeah...independent quoted me $265 parts and labor per side. Given the part is $50 that really isn't too bad.
that's interesting I had mine done by the local machine shop- place that turns rotors and presses stuff in and out. They charged me 50 bucks. There is no specific tool other than the press maybe, which they had. You need a torque wrench with like 320 ft. lb capacity. The specific part comes with heating the race etc and putting them in correctly inner and outer, and reassembly. Again I had mine done is 1h including 10 min travel time. The place is pretty good though
