It seems like the correct ones to me, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for any help... josh http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...ayphotohosting

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

yes
Yes, any "cans" that have the accordian part on the inlet pipe (the longer one) are 3.6L mufflers.
yup, the corrugated pipe is the give away. doug did a comparison.
Nope those are not correct, I'll prove it, don't bid on them at all, let me and win them for 99 cents then I can show you that they weren't worth bidding on once I have them in my possession No JK they are the correct ones If you get them for a great deal (i.e. for less than $100) then you are in business Damn I can't stop telling the truth..although I tried at first
haha, thanks everyone. I emailed the seller and asked about a "but it now" price and he said $400!!! I think I'll take my chances with bidding on this one ;-) thanks for the help... josh
Josh - check out the Garage Sale thread manny_g started. THe very first item listed is a pair of 3.6L cans for $150!! If I were you, I would grab those immediately. Here is a link to that thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/366976-garage-sale-good-deals-don-t-miss-out.html
i am also looking for a pair for my 99. i have my eyes on a few pairs. i WILL NOT bid on these if you are going to so please let me know ..Thanks Bernie
gota911, I just replied letting him know i'll take them. thanks for the heads up. i've been on this site only a short time and you've already been really helpful! Bernie, thanks for the offer. go ahead and bid on the ebay set as i won't be. thanks again everyone! ...josh
Josh, that is a nice price for them and congrat's. If you haven't already ,check out the 'official' 3.6L MKII mod thread here to see what others have said about this mod: 3.6L MKII Post 237 shows the cans after modification, this is what you are looking to have done. Post 256 has some vids of before and after sound. Keep us posted.
TheSpeedDemon, I read through that thread a few times over and decided this sounded like a great mod. I'll be taking the cans to Darin since i live pretty close (San Fran). Thanks for all the help. I'll post an update as soon as i finish this project! by the way, do you know if Darin can install the cans after the welding job? I don't have a lot of room in the garage to do this! thanks... josh
Josh, you will have to talk to Darin (FisterD) about installing them there. But as mentioned in the 3.6L MKII thread, my cousin-in-law owns a muffler shop in Dublin, I can call him tomorrow and find out what he will charge for installing the cans, it's just an R&R so it shouldn't be much and he's a good sport when it comes to these types of things, plus now he knows how it is done after doing mine. Let me know if you are interested in that (PM me).
Hmm. Saw these on ebay before I read this post and placed a bid. Don't want to step on any toes... Bernie, I'll defer to you if you've got your eyes on these.
You could lower your 'high' bid synth-drock if you feel that guilty about bidding on an auction that is for anyone
thanks but i grabbed a set !!
Congrat's
Yah, gratz on grabbing a set, and thanks for the update. Hopefully eBay will come through for the mkII mod!
is anyone else here bidding on these? i don't want to bid against anyone on here, so i'll step back if that's the case. thanks... josh
