Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just sold my C4S and acquired an RS6. Anyone need brand new, never installed (still in packing material TechARt springs or clear side marker lights? Give me your e-mail, and I will provide information. By the way, performance of the RS6 is unbelievable...only thing missing is the "emotion" of the 996. The car is almost a "stealth" porsche...performance but invisible to the naked eye (othe than those who really know). Next care will be a 996TT.

Hey Guest...we like to look at pics of ANY fast car. Care to send some?

POST 3Original post

My friend just got an RS6. I couldn't bring myself to like the Tip tranny and the big size. But there is no question it's a fine automobile, very exclusive, and VERY quick.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I will be "detailing it this week, and will post pictures in a couple of days. Heart with porsche, practacality is with the RS6. And in response to the tranny issue, all you ahve to do is look at where all of the racing technology is going to see that sequential shifting is the future... whether we accept it or not. actually, it is very responsive, and with the option of paddle shifting or gear level shifting, it is kind of neat. all i have to do now is "retrain" myself to not try to push in a clutch to start the car (being the traditionalist that i am!).

POST 5Original post

The RS6 is a very nice car, but I really don't think a transmission that includes a torque converter is the future.

POST 6Original post

I don't deny the great advancements in "clutchless" trannies, but I hope there is always a place for the traditional stick shift. That said, the RS6 is pretty hard to beat as an all-around great package. Speed, space, traction, and exclusivity are good things

I drive an 02 C4S and I will be turning in my 2000 Suburban in October for a Volvo V70R I drive the Suburban in the winter as I live in snowy WHistler here in Canada. V70R has 300HP, 295 lbs torque, 6 speed, Brembo brakes and all wheel drive. 0-100kph in 5.7 seconds. Not bad for a family wagon.
