Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I couldn't hold out any longer. I wanted to wait until winter to get the cab to save a little, but I found a great deal on a great car after looking for several months and decided to pull the trigger. The fact that is was 220 miles away was appealing so I could actually see and drive what I was purchasing. 2002 C4 Cab with 22,000 mi. CPO warranty was a big plus. Single driver return on a lease in amazing condition. Midnight blue metallic with Metropol(sp?) top. Full Savanah Beige leather (supple), Adv. Technic, Comfort, nav, Bose, flared rocker, carrera wing. This car was the most heavily optioned stock one I have ever seen to the tune of $116,000+ original sticker. I had a 3.5 hour drive home last night, most of it in a cat and dog thunderstorm downpour and loved every minute of it. I got home around 12:30 am and my wife woke up and we talked and looked at it until 2:00 am. She can't wait to drive it. Before the flames start, I have to go to work today, but once I get home, I WILL POST PICTURES. Sorry I won't have time to detail the car before I post the pictures. Bumper plugs, and clear side markers will be the first mods, followed by aluminum pedals (RUF maybe). Performance mods; new breaks and suspension won't be for a while and when the warranty is up, I am seriously going to consider a supercharger. Thanks again to all on this forum who helped to educate and entertain me with buying my first Porsche. I am so damn exicted!!! Of course, I will also become a paying member of Rennlist. However, since I am not yet, I can't upload pictures so here is a link. Sorry it rained and the car is dirty. Pictures of 2002 C4 Cab

Congrats DMac! Did you end up purchasing in NC?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I Bought it at Performance Auto Mall in Chapel Hill. Everyone I dealt with was very honest, very professional, and courteous which made it a very enjoyable experience. If were ever to buy a new Acura/BMW/Porsche, I would actually consider driving there for the purchase just to deal with the same people.

Congratulations--it's fun to share the excitement of someone getting in one of these fantastic cars for the first time. And it's great that your wife sounds excited too. All the better! The '02's are great cars. Have a blast!

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I drove to work with the top down this morning. I feel like a kid. This is awesome!!!! The fact that I had to work so hard and wait so long to get one just enhances the overall enjoyment and appreciation.

Thanks!! Did you see it on ebay? Only two more patients to see and then I can drive it some more. I will post pictures posted tonight, but I guess you can see them on ebay as well. Just ordered clear side markers and bumper plugs from bumperplugs.com. Thanks Erik. I've heard good things about your products on this forum.
