Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How about getting together, weather permitting, early (7:30) this Saturday morning, 4/12, for "cars and coffee"? The Starbucks nearest to me (just east of Oak Park Avenue & Lake Street in Oak Park) usually has good street parking at that time, and is pretty centrally located relative to the rest of Chicagoland. A couple of guys have shown interest on the 993 turbo board. The more the merrier. Hope some of you water-cooled guys/gals can make it! I have also posted this on some other boards.

POST 2Original post

I wish I still lived in Chicago (trying to move my career back...) I actually lived in Oak Park for just under a year (about 15 yrs ago), hope you have a nice morning and a good turnout.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Don, Chicago is still a great place, as is Oak Park. Good luck with the career moves.

POST 4Original post

Thanks for the invite. If it's cold I will try to make it, if not I'll be biking with my Bike club Sat morning.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ray, The current forecast for Saturday is a high of 40 with a few early flurries far south of the city. Windy too. Maybe a hot cup of coffee will be better than a bike ride!

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just a reminder: Cars & Coffee at 7:30 this Saturday morning: Starbucks 711 Lake St. Oak Park, IL 60301 http://www.mapquest.com/maps/711+lake+st+60301/ This is just east of Oak Park Avenue & Lake Street in Oak Park. It usually has good street parking at that time. So far, three people are confirmed, but following up with others that expressed interest. PM me if you want additional contact info. Ray, hope that you can join us. The weather should be dry according to the latest forecast.

POST 7Original post

I'll be AutoXing at The Tire Rack ... you guys could come out for that if you would like ...

POST 8Original post

My 996 is still in the shop and the weather looks like it's going to be horrible tomorrow. I'll catch the next coffee meeting. Let me know if you decide to meet up again.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sounds good, Ray. FYI, I will be there rain, snow or shine. I don't like to drive my car in the rain, but it's only a couple of blocks for me.

POST 10Original post

Last week I put my summer tires on, and in rain and snow they are no fun. Maybe next time.

POST 12Original post

Chicago: I just found the thread but as we can see the weather is not the best for P-cars. However please try again soon. 99C2

POST 13Original post

I just saw this thread. If you you do another one, I'm in!

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Will plan to do another one soon. Perhaps a bit further out in the suburbs where there is a large parking lot to line up the cars. I'm thinking May or June, and will keep you posted.

POST 15Original post

I'll also try to make it if you do another. I hate coffee, but I love Porsches!

POST 16Original post

Deanriffs: Perhaps near the big crossroads (Schaumburg) I was at the Starbucks at the Steeets of Woodfield Sunday AM and did notice a huge parking lot and an oversizes Starbucks too! ...Just an idea! Also, this Saturday is an open house at FISCHER MOTOR SPORTS (New location!) in Barrington. Again this Saturday 10:AM to 4:PM. I'm sure that any potential client can just show up. Of course I plan to be there. 99C2

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

99C2, Thanks for the heads up on the Fischer open house. I might pop in in the afternoon.

Yeah. I'm hoping for good weather but I believe we are going to get rain! If so the DD is a must...dang. If it's not rain it's snow. Perhaps see you and others from the Rennlist there! 99C2
