Interesting video I came across. Lamborghini / Ferrari / Porsche turbo / NSX-R and finally the M3-CSL. Gotta be impressed with the NSX. Enjoy http://www.norcalevo.net/video/motegibattle.wmv

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Man, that was sweet. I can't believe the NSX kicked butt so well and held its own against teh new Murcielago and Gallardo. the 996 tt wasn't even in the main battle. Remember that the NSX is a 12 year old platform!!! Bobby
<cough> biased <cough> <cough><cough><cough><cough><cough><cough><cough>
Biased????? Why, did I miss something in that video? Aren't you biased future 996tt owner. Bobby
It was all driver. The nsx was the only car that took a decent line especially around those S's all the other cars were way out. What a joke. It was cool though but wayyy subjective
I Agree, You Have To Give Some Love To the NSX - I have always loved that car -
chitown, look at it, every single one of those cars is superior the NSX, some have more power, some have AWD... some have all of the above. No way the NSX would win if it was completely balanced. the NSX must have had better tires, better driver, significant modifications, or all of the above. besides the clip is japanese, they love to hype their only 'supercar' (besides the skyline - which is rather brutish)
Moogle is correct. This video was posted in another forum, and apparently the NSX was not stock.
I remember seeing this vid posted in the GT2/GT3 forum back in August https://rennlist.com/forums/996-gt2-gt3-forum/153664-have-you-seen-this-vid-2-lambos-1-turbo-nsx-m3.html I still watch the vid from time to time
Well that was an NSX-R, Big difference between that one in a stock NSX.
i have never seen in a japanese produse video , an NSX or SKYLINE to loose... NEVER...... even if the NSX was the NSX-R there is no way to be done like this..... may be the driver of the 996 TT was driving:"look mum....no hands...." anyway, it is a great vid, thanks but have in mind that even with the same car differences between 2 drivers can go up to 2 sec per min.....
Yeah I have seen this vid before. It certainly looks like it was staged. Just listen to the jap comentary. And the M3 taking out the Modena is a total joke. But nonetheless, its' a great video.
Thanks for the great video. Btw, for those who dont know, this isn't NSX. It is NSX-R weighing only 2800lbs., a totally different car. It is like comparing 996 to GT3.
the nsx-r has a # to hp ratio of 10:1, no better that a 'regular' 996. the cheesy comentary reminds me of the 'iron chef' i.e. japan takes on the world and emerges victorous. looks like most of those drivers are sandbagging.
I was gonna say that but I figured why bother, if they have no clue of the differences.
I hope you are aware that compression ratio and hp per liter ratio are completely different. The standard 996 has a hp to litre ratio of 88.89 where as the NSX-R has a ratio of 94.10 from a smaller size engine.
Moogle is right......they figured our the results thay wanted and acted out the scripted performance on the track. Every car our there would embarass the NSX in any real race.....
Although I am Porsche all the way and have been all my life , I would like to eventually see the specs. on the new generation NSX. Looks very interesting indeed!!!. Here's a pic. Cheers and safe driving http://response.jp/issue/2003/1015/a...s/57113.jpgers and safe driving.
Sorry let's try that again. Here's the pics. http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgur...lr%3D%26sa%3DN
unfortunately honda recently shelved/canned that project in favour of developing their cheaper models/niches.
Yeah I remembered discussing this vid on this forum a while back and we had the same conclusion. The car is only part of the equation, the driver is certainly the main factor. A professional drive could kick my *** in Honda Prelude, well maybe not, then again yeah probably.
Similar video, only this time we have the 9114s, 911 GT2, Gemballa BiTurbo Gt500, Nsx-R, Lambo and the Ferrari F50. Different outcome this time! Enjoy Cheers http://www.runeb.org/www_docs/Jexoti...erCar_Race.mpg Then ferrari 360 against 911 TT. Very nice .........yahoo! http://www.runeb.org/www_docs/Jexoti...96%20Turbo.mpg Then 911 4s against NSX-r http://www.runeb.org/www_docs/Jexoti...Xtypeszero.mpg Then ferrari 355 vs, the NSX http://www.runeb.org/www_docs/Jexoti...Xtypeszero.mpg
Thank you for the vids.
best motoring has a habit of being pro-jap bias (fair enuff, they ae japanese after all)...such as fitting r-spec tyres to the japanese cars and leaving the stock tyres on the foreign cars. that's the most well knows thing.. some other people in the thread have mentioned others..
Why is it that whenever they showed the 996TT, they guy was lazy to shift? He'd come out of a turn and just keep it in whatever gear he was in.... biased??? Nooo "It overheated in the final turn and he had no choice but to back off" Oh give me a friggin break guys... nice try
