Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Like the new 19' wheels on the 997's,the wheel size are 19x8.5 front and 19x11 on the rear.Have 02 Cab do not track car,Besides a little rougher ride would there be any other draw backs?. Thinking of putting Michelin 's 235/35/19 front and 295/30/19 rear does make any sense, (cents).

POST 2Original post

Cabdan, Fitment depending on wheel offset but doubt they will fit. I recall the 997 rims having a rather low offset figure, resulting in a wider wheel towards the outer half. Ciao, Johannes E.

Cabdan - Sent a message on this same subject to Wheel Enhancement, here's what they told me: the 19" 997 Carrera S wheels will fit your 2003 996 C4 Cabriolet with a 5mm spacer both front and rear. A set of 8x19" and 11x19" 997 Carrera S wheels, in new car take-off condition (less than 100 miles, no scratches), is $1,900.00, plus shipping. A set of four 5mm Factory spacers, along with a complete set of extended length Factory lug bolts and wheel locks, is $350.00. Hope that helps, I am going to pass and stick with 18s, but I do like the new look, don't want to harsher ride. Cay-Ute

The 295/30/19 have a rolling diameter approx 1/2 inch larger than the 285/30/18. Your speedo will not be accurate
