Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just got my new 02 coupe, non aero and I want to add the pieces. I really like the Cup I kits but they say they will not fit the 02. Can the taco wing be installed on an 02? I know....pictures to come but the transporter broke both rear control arms strapping the car down so it is at the shop. Thanks

POST 3Original post

The front bumper wouldn't fit because of the headlights/facelift. I see no reason why the sideskirts and rear spoiler wouldn't fit. Perhaps "they" are concerned about unstable aerodynamics of mixing wings and front spoilers?

POST 4Original post

What about that new 997 GT3 taco-esque wing on 996? Probably not, eh? I am a big fan of the the GT3 mk1 wing, can't wait to put one on.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Supposedly the air intakes around the spoiler are different and that is the big problem? Porsche just says that the taco fits up to 8/01.

POST 6Original post

Steve, As for your question, I think your problem can easily be fixed by installing one of the many air filter kits. The call them cold air kits although I think they would be better described as hot air kits. Jim

POST 7Original post

This would suggest you can... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...%3ASS%3AUS%3A1

POST 8Original post

JimB IIRC you are correct in that the aero pkg was not an option for 2002. Although you could get side skirts and the Carrera cab wing installed (even on a coupe) at the factory, as I have one that came that way. There was not an aero front bumper, thus no kit.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, the yellow "car" does show the taco on it...unfortunately it is hard to get past all the YELLOW! WOW Well, if there is anyone in Dallas Fort Worth with an aero car that I can examine next to mine I will chip in a free lunch or something for a little bit of time. Thanks

POST 10Original post

You mean like this? This is my new 997 with full Aerocup Kit from factory. Deanski

POST 11Original post

I have a 99-01 taco on my 2003. No fit problems. I want to upgrade to the full cup wing. PM me and we'll talk.
