Hey everyone, just picked up this 2002 Black on black 996 Carrera 2. 68k miles, paint is absolutely flawless! I couldn't believe it. Also came with very nice wheels (HRE?). Plus I ordered some RUF springs last night to take care of that ugly wheel gap. Thought I had a RUF exhaust too, but it was sold out from under me :-/ Anyone have an exhaust they would like to part with? Nothing too loud, just something tasteful and throaty. The youtube videos of the bypass pipes seem to be just obnoxiously loud for everyday street use. I hope I can keep this car for a while. I may be moving (overseas) soon and won't be able to take it with me /fingers crossed

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Very nice. Hurry up and put some miles on it, just in case.
Nice!! I know of a place where you can store your car if don't mind some....lets say extra miles put on it
Those aren't HRE wheels. I think they're actually pretty affordable wheels.
Welcome! Nice ride! Enjoy it while you can!
SSR GT3 Wheels? I think tire rack has them.
FisterD for exhaust. Perfect for your needs.
Nice looking Porsche, welcome to a great forum to help you spend and modify.

Sweet car!!! Welcome to Rennlist and thanks for the pic (singular)! hee hee
sweet -the black looks great "Plus I ordered some RUF springs last night to take care of that ugly wheel gap." is this the easiest / cost effective weay to lower without tweaking the entire suspension? I want to lower my wagon-wheels but am clueless in which direction to go

+996 The wheels look like SSRs to me or possibly ebay replicas... They look good either way!
They could be ebay wheels, definitely not SSR GT3s, but very similar. I was actually partial to the turbo twist wheels myself, but these came with the car. I also like the 997 turbo wheels.

^^^ with that, there's gonna be a lot of closed threads.
RUF springs in transit.... Also, I saw some posts on the FisterD exhaust mod, it looks like some pretty basic fab work. Is there a preferred design for 3.6L mufflers? I saw a lot of different threads in search but didn't know if there is one stickied somewhere that is "the" source thread.
This thread has 536 posts and over 30,000 views in it. Grab you favorite beverage, sit back and read away! Check out post #23 and #25. PSE modded 3.6 mufflers How close in sound to a real PSE
Welcome - sorry I missed the post somehow, glad I stopped to see your Nice Car ! get some miles on it !
Nice. Thanks for the info on that thread. I'll probably tackle this one come the weekend when I've got the car on the lift for the springs and oil change.
