Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...em=#ht_500wt_0 Thoughts? Wonder if it would be a good platform for the guys at Flat 6 Innovations to rebuild a killer motor in? Still makes it an over $20k car, but would that be worth it if you have that much more confidence in it's reliability? Discuss... Item number 230309976196 if the link doesn't work.

POST 2Original post

It's sold so I guess it was a good deal for someone. I still think the 2001 TT for $ 39K with 37K miles is the current deal of the month. $ 8,000 in real wood options ! Whoo Hoo! Too bad it looks bad against the red interior.

POST 3Original post

I think the tip transmission hurts the car more than wood.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Where did you guys read about wood options or a tiptronic? Sure did sell fast...

Doug, I think they were referring to the 2001 TT mentioned in post #2 (which was also mentioned in another thread), and not about the car without an engine.

I don't believe it sold. The reserve was NOT met, so the sale just expired.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It was relisted here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...dll%3FViewItem And then ended with "buy it now". All in like a day!

POST 9Original post

Isn't it cheaper to get an OEM remanned engine with the exchange of the core engine. It would be a great track car if it wasn't a tip and came with the broken engine.
