Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

You have to remember that we are the "bottom dwellers" of the water cooled 911 crowd, and some of us (OK, me) don't change out parts as frequently as the 996/997 GT3/GT2 group does. (OK, guys, no flames, it was just a joke) Besides that, we just love pics!

POST 8Original post

THESE ARE NOT MOOTY'S seats. Mine have yellow stitching and I am posting these only so people know what sport seats look like. Be aware that while the seats have power adjustment the fore/aft is manual and I don't think you could get heated seats in a 996GT3. These are great seats IMO. Mine are sold.

POST 9Original post

Oh geez...don't let Speed Demon see those. He might leave puddles. C.

POST 10Original post

Is the bottom cushion on GT3 seats the same as on a regular "comfort" seat for all intents and purposes? Looking for a way to install them and perhaps retain my full power and memory seats.. I don't care all that much about the heated portion.

My car has sport seats. To answer your question - sort of. The leather is perforated for comfort. C.

Nope not a chance Chad, they don't have the shoulder harness holes. I need either the Euro GT3 seats or after-market ones, not going to go half-way But good luck with the auction Mooty and plan on seeing me at the track next year with the PCA-GGR.

POST 13Original post

Do you have to be named "Sal" to buy these? j/k and good luck with the salE ;-)

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

the pix boulder GT3 posted are identical to mine, except my has black stitching. i dont think you can wire these for full power seat as the seat back is powered but the fore/aft movement is manual.

POST 15Original post

how are these seats compared to stock seats,,, do they hold you better?

on the street, yes, a little better than non sport seats. on track, none of them work, until you get racing shells and harness.

POST 17Original post

I like the sport seats much better on the street. Just a little more dish and I like the way they fit at the shoulder. They are more comfortable and look better IMO. I don't drive fast enough on the street that sliding out of the seat is an issue. Shell based racing seats are a whole new level of grip for the track and I think they are comfortable too. That said, they have virtually no adjustment and they are much more difficult to get into and out of. The backs don't fold so you lose the rear access as well.
