This post is in response to one made by Maxy on 5/28/04 regarding 18.9% off of a new 40th Anniversary 911. Maxy's post indicated that a $10k dealer incentive may currently exist. Can anyone confirm the $10k dealer incentive? Also, Maxy, did you buy the car? Thanks, Matt
Can anyone confirm that there is currently a $10k dealer incentive??

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Yes, there is a $10k dealer incentive....start your negotiations from there
$10k off of all 996's or just the 40th anniversary model?
- I didn't buy it (but I'm still undecided and obsessively tempted). Other things I'm considering are to wait for 997, wait for C6 (unlikely choice), or wait much longer for E90 M3/M4. -What I don't know is if the $10K incentive applies to other 996 models besides the 40th Anniversary. (That's the only car I discussed with this dealer). Another salesman at a different dealer told me that there was no incentive, though we didn't get hot and heavy into negotiations and he also stated some mistruths about particular features of the 40th.
I saw one (40th) on ebay, new for $17k off sticker in CT
It does not. At least not at this time.
at least 15K off the 40th car.
I sold my C4 cab last week. I was considering waiting for the 997 to be released in August but saw that the wide body version won't be available until MY 06 so I may look at a C4S 996.
Interesting. So, dealer cost on a $90,000 40th Edition 911 is around $78,000. Deduct the $10k incentive and you are looking at around $68,000. Not a bad deal if you could get one around $70,000.
some dealerships are even 'dumping' the 40ths at a loss, they are just too difficult to move and with impending 997 allocations, they arent taking any chances with having a load of these cars that no one wants and only a few of the (inevitably) high demand 997s
totally agree! don't forget the car has X51 factory power upgrade 345hp & full leather. if u're in the market for A porsche this car is a good buy IMO.
