Hi, My car is making a strange noise when the car is warm (ie: after a long drive). The car is making a 'ticking' noise when its warm. It seems it's coming from the transmission. If I press the clutch pedal, the sound is gone. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

What model/year???? How many miles?
Is the sound coming when you are in neutral or in gear?
Hi, It's a 02 Carrera. The sound is present when I am in neutral. If I am in neutral and stepping on the clutch, the noise is gone. Thanks!
To me it sounds like flywheel rattle, but you should have it checked out if it concerns you. My Corvette rattled a lot too, you just have to live with it on lightweight flywheels.
Throw out bearing take it in, it should be a warranty item.
Thanks again! I have scheduled an appointment.
