Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Got my wing today and am going to have someone pick it up and paint it tomorrow. Will post a diy on installation possibly next weekend or the weekend after when I get time and am back in town. I'm not sure if I want to keep it though because the more and more I look at the car it looks just fine without the wing. I personally like the stock carrera rear, but because I'm getting bored with the car I wanted to try something out with it. So anyways, I got the wing and i"m gonna get it painted and install it soon but what do you guys think? The wing or no wing? POST 3Original post

i don't like that wing. i'd leave it off. also, the newer GT3 wing is much nicer than the earlier aerokit wing IMHO. but in general i like the look of the 911 with the sloping rear without a wing on it. leave the wing for the turbos!

POST 4Original post

I just ordered the gen1 Aerokit for my black '00 996 C2. I should have it in a few days. Got it at a very good price from Brumos Porsche. So I really like it. I agree that the 996 needs a rear wing in order to look aggressive. I like it without the wing, but it doesn't have the "badass" look that I associate with Porsches. For some people who like low key it still looks great. I really liked the look of the 993, but I bought the 996 because I could get a better deal on newer, more modern car, and with the Aerokit, I actually prefer the look of the 996. In about 2 weeks, my car should look just like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2458063172 Next mods up will be RoW M030, powder coating my calipers red, and some aluminum gauges. -Dave '00 996 C2 '97 M3 '89 M3 '00 a4 1.8tq '05 Lotus Elise pending

delliott00 - looks sweet~ I still can't decide though... I guess i'm just being too fickle these days with the market being so volatile. BTW: it looks like we have a very similar taste in cars
